EXPERTISE
Public Law Children
Heather has represented local authorities, parents, and intervenors in a wide range of public law proceedings, including multi-day hearings for care and placement orders. These cases have involved complex and sensitive issues such as parental alienation, allegations of serious sexual abuse, and non-accidental injuries.

Private Law Children
She regularly acts in private law disputes, including child arrangements, allegations of harm, and relocation cases. Attention to detail often allows her to resolve factual disputes at an early stage, removing the need for fact-finding hearings.
Injunctions
Her work includes applications for injunctive relief, such as non-molestation and occupation orders. Commitment to supporting vulnerable clients is reflected in her voluntary work for the National Centre for Domestic Violence, where she assisted victims of abuse in preparing statements for urgent applications.

Financial Remedy
Her financial remedies practice covers divorce proceedings involving disputes over property, pensions, maintenance, and matrimonial assets. She combines strong advocacy with clear, practical advice, delivered with a pragmatic approach.

Trusts of Land & Appointment of Trustees (ToLATA)
She is instructed in cohabitation disputes concerning property ownership and beneficial interests arising from relationship breakdowns, providing early advice on the merits of applications and offering robust representation throughout proceedings.
Civil Litigation
In addition to her family practice, Heather accepts instructions in a range of civil matters, including consumer disputes and small claims. She has experience drafting skeleton arguments and appearing in court on behalf of both individuals and businesses.
Immigration
She also accepts instructions in immigration matters, including applications and appeals before the First-tier Tribunal.
